Scott Stolzenburg

Scott Stolzenburg grew up in Poolesville, Maryland where he was a three-sport varsity athlete. He was the team captain for both the football and lacrosse teams his senior year at Poolesville High School.

Upon graduation from high school, Scott went on to further his educational and athletic careers at Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College). Scott became a two-sport varsity collegiate athlete at Western Maryland College. Both the football and lacrosse teams were perennial top 15 teams in the country Division 3 during the entirety of his career. Under the leadership of Al Thomas, Scott was a 2-year starter at cornerback for the Green Terror, winning 3 conference championships while amassing a 35-5 record.

When it wasn’t football season Scott was also a 3-year SSDM starter on the Green Terror lacrosse team. Scott graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

After school, Scott moved back to Montgomery County where he met his wife, Amy a registered nurse. After a few years of marriage, the family was fortunate enough to migrate to Mount Airy, MD where they are raising three kids (Cole, Parker, London) and are enjoying life in Carroll County. This is where Scott got into the coaching side of sports being the defensive coordinator for numerous years in the youth program before joining the South Carroll High School staff.
